Supply Chain Engagement Manager

CATCH is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our membership team as Supply Chain Engagement Manager.  You will be working on the Humber Industrial Cluster Plan to explore supply chain and skills requirements and explore other barriers to deployment to ensure the region is able to deploy major new infrastructure projects to deliver net zero for industrial emissions by 2040.

The position will involve working with a range of people at different levels – to gather relevant information and data, supporting and designing a range of supply chain engagement activities and delivering findings, whilst reporting to the Director of Membership and Low Carbon Strategy and supporting the Humber Industrial Cluster Plan Manager and wider team.

CATCH is delivering the Humber Industrial Cluster Plan with the Hull and East Yorkshire LEP (HEY LEP) and the following private sector partners – British Steel, Centrica Storage, Drax, Equinor, National Grid Ventures, Phillips66, SSE and VPI.  The project has secured £2.6million funding from Innovate UK and partners.

You will have a sound understanding of the process, engineering, renewable energy transition / decarbonisation sectors in the region including the associated supply chains.  You will possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills and experience of general administrative procedures including maintaining databases and IT skills is essential.  Ideally you will be qualified to a degree level in either an Engineering or a Science based discipline or have evidence of relevant industry experience.

The position is part time, with a negotiable working pattern, to a maximum of 30 hours per week. You will be home based, with travel required both to our Head Office in Stallingborough and to our regional office at the Aura Innovation Centre. Travel may also be required to locations mainly in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

Note this position is on a fixed term contract until March 2023. The Humber Industrial Cluster Plan project is being funded by Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, under the Industrial Decarbonisation challenge of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF).
