Mental Health Care for all: Let’s Make it a Reality
The 10th of October marks World Mental Health Day.
During the World Health Assembly in May 2021, governments from around the world recognised the need to scale up quality mental health services at all levels. You can read the WHOs updated 2030 mental health action plan here – https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240031029
Poor mental health doesn’t discriminate, from students to adults, it can strike at anytime and we need to ensure, as a responsible employer that we provide timely support when it is needed most. Here at CATCH we have trained mental health first aiders, from all levels of our business plus an open-door policy to ensure we all feel comfortable to talk.
Of course, mental health isn’t just confined to the workplace, education settings, home life and relationships with family and friends can all effect our mental health. The World health Organisation have produced a series of postcards of how you can help should someone you know, or indeed yourself, feel depressed or suicidal – click this link to access these resources- https://www.who.int/campaigns/world-mental-health-day/2021/campaign-materials.
