CATCH makes the SME Climate Hub Commitment
CATCH has signed up to the SME Climate Change Commitment through the UK Business Climate Hub. We commit to halving our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030, to achieve Net Zero emissions before 2050 and to disclose our progress on a yearly basis.
The SME Climate hub is recognised by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign, and CATCH joins governments, businesses, cities, regions, and universities around the world that share the same mission.
Recognising that climate change poses a threat to our economy, nature, and society-at-large. CATCH is committed to taking action, though driving changes in our own workplace, using the tools and support offered through the SME Climate Hub to achieve our commitment before 2050.
CATCH aims to be at the forefront of Climate Change Action in the Humber region, through leading by example and working with our members to support their individual and collaborative journeys.
CATCH is also propelling the region to achieve the world’s first Net Zero Cluster by 2040, through its collaborative project with the Humber LEP and 8 industry partners – the Humber Industrial Cluster Plan.
2021 is the time. This November the UK government is hosting a major conference in Glasgow where world leaders will get together to commit to urgent action to tackle the climate emergency. It’s called COP26, and all eyes will be on the UK to agree the most ambitious plans to fight climate change the world has ever seen. You can make your own commitment here.
