Managing Working at Height

This course aims to raise awareness of legislation when working at height, and better support Managers, Team Leaders and Supervisors whose team work at height as part of their role.

1 Day Course

– Raise awareness of working at height
– Work to the legislation regarding working at height
– Identify common hazards in the workplace
– Planning, competence and assessing working at height
– Constructing a Safe System of Work (SSoW):
– Risk Assessments and their associated control measures
– Method Statements
– Permit to Work
– Point of Work Risk Assessment (PoWRA)
– Emergency Rescue planning

– Equipment required for WaH (safety harnesses, lanyards, ladders etc)

Practical session, including:
– Ladder Inspection
– Safety Harness & lanyard identification and inspection
– Conduct a WaH risk assessment based on a scenario on site.
