CATCH Skills have scheduled a TQUK Level 3 Education and Training Course on the below dates;

24th November

1st December

10th December

22nd December

The delegates must attend all 5 course dates to receive the full qualification, 4 of the dates are learning and the final day is to deliver a 30 minute micro-teach. 

The course also involves 3 short assignments.  

  1. Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
  2. Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and -Learning Approaches in Education and Training
  3. Understanding Assessment in Education and Training

The cost per delegate is £850 + Vat.

Following on from the latest government announcement regarding the lockdown starting on Thursday 5th November, The CATCH site as an education facility is permitted to remain open in order to allow apprenticeship learning and training to go ahead.

All scheduled CATCH Skills training for November will still be going ahead as planned. The CATCH site is COVID secure with comprehensive risk assessments and measures in place to ensure all delegates remain safe during their time at CATCH.

CATCH Skills are looking for sponsorship to run a number of introduction to industry programmes starting in October 2020. The first one being 29-30th October. The programme is 2 days long and gives the learner the opportunity to gain some hands on industry experience at the CATCH plant and workshop facilities. Targeted at 14-18 year olds, our trainers from industry will give them an insight into the variety of STEM based career options that learning at CATCH can offer. The practical elements of the course include basic mechanical and process operations, working at heights and slinging and lifting. Many students have progressed from this programme through to apprenticeships on site and then to a career in industry.

We have been running this programmes since 2015 which is normally funded through donations from the CATCH Annual Dinner raffle however with the postponement of the dinner this year, we are looking for a number of sponsors from industry which will enable us to run as many Introduction to Industry programmes as possible.

Sponsorship is £500 and includes;

Branding of the programme in all social media activity and certificates for the students
Opportunity to have a 30 minute slot to discuss your company and role within industry
Handing out of certificates to learners

This course will provide “hands-on” work experience with many types of mechanical equipment in an authentic industrial environment.

Over the 2 days you will learn what it is like to work in the large Humber Bank industries, you will be finding out about:
